Immunohistochemical Evalution of Endoglin (CD 105) as Angiogenic Endothelial Marker of Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Dogs
نویسندگان
چکیده
Back ground: Angiogenesis is the process of using existent vascular bed to form new blood vessels. Neoangiogenesis one hallmarks cancer for tumour progression and metastasis. Microvessel density (MVD) a powerful prognostic tool in oncology assessing vasculature. Endoglin (CD 105) specific marker activated endothelium. The present research intends investigate metastatic potential immunohistochemical expression canine squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Method: Totally, 15 SCC were collected from Veterinary Clinical Complex, Tirunelveli during year period. tumours histopathologically identified as different grades. Immunohistochemically analysed with Peritumoural microvessel intratumourl (PTMVD ITMVD) calculated “hot spot method”. Result: All cases positive CD 105 strongly stained both peritumoural intratumoural Among types SCC, Grade III had highest values density. study concluded that grades have MVD within cases, thereby reflecting behaviour neoplasms directly. best endothelial markers determine because it aids assess plays significant role estimation overall survival period after surgery.

Immunohistochemical Evaluation of Fascin in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Background and purpose: Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the eighth most common cancer in men and the fifteenth in women. Localized recurrence and metastasis to regional lymph nodes are major problems in these patients. Fascin is a 55- kDa protein from the family of actin-binding proteins that is expressed in cells with membranous bronchial tubes. The aim of this study was to evaluate the expre...
متن کاملEvaluation of Endoglin as an Angiogenesis Marker in Glioblastoma
Background and Objectives: Angiogenesis is essential for growth and metastasis of solid malignancies. Tumor vessel count and expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), a potent angiogenic factor, have been associated with prognosis. This study was designed to assess vessels density by using CD31 and CD105 (Endoglin) and their correlation with expression of VEGF and prolif...
متن کاملEndoglin – a marker of vascular endothelial cell proliferation in cancer
Endoglin (CD105) is an accessory receptor of transforming growth factor B. The highest synthesis, as well as expression, of endoglin has been found in vascular endothelial cells. The involvement of endoglin in angiogenesis and in angiogenesis-dependent processes has been observed. Endoglin promotes angiogenesis not only by activation of vascular endothelial cell proliferation but also by induct...
متن کاملComparing Immunohistochemical Expression of Podoplanin between Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Normal Oral Mucosa
Background and purpose: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is the sixth most common cancer in the world. Podoplanin is a mucin-like integral membrane glycoprotein that is expressed in the lymphatic endothelial cells but not in the blood vascular endothelial cells. The aim of the present study was to investigate the immunohistochemical expression of podoplanin and evaluating lymphangiogenesis i...
متن کاملRole of Brg1 in progression of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma
Objective(s): Epigenetic regulation of gene expression can be carried out through chromatin remodeling enzymes such as SWI/SNF. Brg1 also known as SMARCA4 is a catalytic subunit of SWI/SNF, which is necessary for MMPs expression. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are known as important player enzymes during tumor progression and metastasis. Aberrant epigenetic modification of chromatin should be...
